Almost all lenders require the same documentation in order to process your loan application. You will usually need the following for your application to be successful:
Your last 3 months of bank statements
If you bank with the lender who you are asking for a loan you may not need to provide this. Some lenders only require 2 months of bank statements but always best to be prepared with 3 months just in case.
Your latest salary slip
If you do not have a salary slip or pay statement you will need to provide some other document that proves your income.
Your South African identity document
Also known as your ID book or Green book.
Proof of residential address
This could be an electricity bill or telephone bill for example. Proof of residence is required to satisfy the Financial Intelligence Centre Act (FICA).
